Following an 11% dip in share price this year, LIC falls out of the top 10 most valuable companies.

About three years ago, the state-owned Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) made its Dalal Street debut in the fifth position of market capitalization rankings; however, it has since fallen out of the top 10. This decrease comes after the insurer's stock fell 11% since the start of 2025. The biggest insurer in the nation, LIC, has had the biggest drop in market value among India's biggest corporations, losing around ₹60,000 crore since January. Information technology companies make up the majority of the list; Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) saw the biggest decline, losing ₹2 lakh crore.
