Following the'significant' order victory for the Nuclear Power Corp project in Tamil Nadu, L&T shares rise.
On Tuesday, September 16, Larsen and Toubro Ltd. said that the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. has given its heavy civil infrastructure business vertical a "significant" order for a Tamil Nadu project.
Orders between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore are deemed "significant" by L&T.
The two 1000 Mwe Kudankulam Nuclear Power Projects (KKNPP-5&6) in Tamil Nadu are the subject of the order.
According to L&T, the mechanical package for the project comprises installing the sea water systems, polar and trestle cranes, nuclear reactor and turbine systems, and other associated equipment. According to the statement, it also covers structural steelwork, supports, insulation, plumbing, painting, accessories, anti-corrosion coating, and thorough testing for all of the site's buildings and structures.
