Ambani stated through a spokeswoman that the State Bank of India (SBI) complaint concerns issues that have existed for over a decade. Mr. Ambani was a non-executive director of the business at the time and had no role in day-to-day operations. Ambani said in his statement that he is being singled out. According to the spokeswoman, SBI has already discontinued its actions against five other non-executive directors on its own initiative. According to the announcement, a Committee of Creditors, headed by SBI and supervised by a Resolution Professional, is currently in charge of managing Reliance Communications. For the past six years, the case has been on judicial review, pending in the NCLT and various courts, including the Honorable Supreme Court.
