India is expected to continue being the fastest-growing large economy globally for the next three decades, as stated by Union Minister for Commerce & Industry Mr. Piyush Goyal. During his address at the CII Annual Business Summit 2025 in New Delhi, he mentioned India's consistent growth of 6-7%, with aims to achieve 8% at constant prices. In spite of global disruptions, India stands out as one of the top-performing emerging markets, possessing the fourth-largest foreign exchange reserves in the world, approximately Rs. 58,86,390 crore (US$ 690 billion). Inflation has stayed below 4% for the past three months, and the Reserve Bank has successfully managed liquidity and currency matters. He also remarked that India is an appealing destination for investment, with Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows consistently reaching new heights. Ongoing advancements on various Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with nations such as the UAE, Australia, the UK, and the EFTA countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland) have been noted, with EFTA countries pledging Rs. 8,53,100 crore (US$ 100 billion) in FDI over the next 15 years, which is anticipated to lead to a cumulative investment of Rs. 42,65,500 crore (US$ 500 billion). The extensive ecosystem generated around this investment could draw in an additional Rs. 42,65,500 crore (US$ 500 billion). He expressed pride in India's economic achievements, with the IMF forecasting that India will rank as the world's third-largest GDP by 2027. Despite global uncertainties, India maintains its position as the fastest-growing economy, driving international growth. He underscored the significance of inclusive growth, pointing out the Government's initiatives to simplify business regulations, lessen compliance burdens, and foster self-certification.
