Indian stock market gives 18% returns in 5 years

Indian stocks produced a remarkable 16% return for the three months that ended in May 2025, much exceeding the 5% gain in emerging markets and the modest 2% increase in global and established markets. With yearly gains of 18%, the Indian stock market has outperformed all others over a five-year period in US dollars.
