'Obsessed' with volume-led revenue increase, according to HUL Q2 results, MD and CEO Priya Nair
HINDUNILVR A few days after releasing a business update for the quarter, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (HUL), the biggest FMCG firm in India, released its September quarter results on Thursday, October 23. In contrast to a CNBC-TV18 survey that predicted 0% to 1% rise, the quarter's underlying volume growth was flat.
The company's net profit of ₹2,694 crore was more than the ₹2,480 crore predicted by the CNBC-TV18 poll. A one-time gain of ₹273 crore also helped the quarter's net earnings. In the base quarter, there was no one-time gain. The resolution of tax issues between Indian and UK authorities produced the one-time gain.
