On October 6, Tata Capital will begin its ₹17,200 crore initial public offering (IPO); Tata Sons and IFC will sell their shares.

The public subscription period for Tata Capital's initial public offering (IPO), the non-banking financial division of the Tata Group, is scheduled to begin on October 6, 2025, and end on October 8. On October 3, the anchor investor auction will begin. The company hopes to be valued at about $18 billion, and the issue size is anticipated at $2 billion (about ₹17,200 crore). An offer for sale (OFS) of 26.58 crore shares and a new issue of 21 crore equity shares make up the 47.58 crore-share IPO. The International Finance Corporation (IFC) would sell 3.58 crore shares under the OFS, while Tata Sons will sell 23 crore shares. At the moment, IFC owns 1.8% of Tata Capital, while Tata Sons controls 88.6%.
