With 30,133 units sold in March, Bajaj Auto held a 25.8% market share and dominated the electric two-wheeler market.
Hero Vida came in second with 6,539 units, or 5.6% of total sales.
This achievement comes after the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) reported a 7% decline in total car retail sales in February 2025. Sales of two-wheelers fell from 14,44,674 units to 13,53,280 units, a 6% year-over-year reduction.
Low consumer interest, financing problems, and pricing swings were the main causes of the February slowdown, according to FADA. Additionally, dealers had to deal with inconsistent inventory levels and low demand, especially for entry-level models.
In March, electric models proved resilient, with Bajaj, TVS, and Ola leading the way, despite two-wheeler sales struggling in February.#WatchOutFor#FundamentalViews#EquityResearch#MacroViews#TrendingSectors
