Stock in news - State bank of India

SBIN
Although several brokerages are still upbeat about the bank's prospects, shares of State Bank of India slumped Monday after the nation's largest lender lowered its loan growth target for 2025–2026 due to geopolitical uncertainties brought on by the US tariffs. Citing the anticipated effects of US tariffs on India's economy, SBI announced a 10% decline in its fourth-quarter standalone net profit on Saturday and lowered its lending growth forecast for this fiscal year from 14–16% to 12–13%. On Monday, SBI shares dropped over 2% in the morning trade before reversing some of the losses in the afternoon to close 1% lower at ₹790.90 on the NSE. There was a 0.56% increase in the benchmark Nifty 50 index.
