Strong revenue and the expansion of premium products cause Shree Cement's Q2 profit to almost triple to ₹277 crore.

SHREECEM
Leading cement producer Shree Cement Ltd. announced a net profit of ₹277 crore for the second quarter on Tuesday, October 28. This is almost three times the ₹93 crore reported during the same period last year. However, the amount was less than the ₹349 crore poll prediction by CNBC-TV18. Revenue for the quarter was ₹4,303 crore, slightly more than the CNBC-TV18 poll prediction of ₹4,263 crore and up 15.5% from ₹3,727 crore in the same period previous year. Higher volumes, a focus on premiumization, and the company's ongoing emphasis on a value-over-volume approach were the main drivers of the growth.
