The RBI approves Indian Overseas Bank's establishment of an IFSC banking unit in GIFT City.

$IOB According to a regulatory filing made by the bank, Indian Overseas Bank has been granted permission by the Reserve Bank of India to open an International Financial Services Center Banking Unit at GIFT City in Gujarat. Indian Overseas Bank stated in a notification filed in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations that the RBI had given the authorization in a letter dated December 29, 2025. The permission enables the public sector lender to establish an IFSC Banking Unit, or IBU, at GIFT City, India's official hub for international financial services.
