Ujjivan SFB Q2 business update: Loans and asset quality improve, deposits rise 15%

Strong financial results for the second quarter were reported by Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, which showed consistent growth in all important criteria. Total deposits increased from ₹34,070 crore in the same quarter last year to ₹39,010 crore, a 14.8% YoY increase. Deposits at the bank's CASA (Current Account Savings Account) increased even more, rising 22.1% year over year to ₹10,782 crore from ₹8,832 crore the previous year. The gross loan book increased by 14% YoY to ₹34,588 crore from ₹30,343 crore, while the credit-deposit ratio stayed steady at 88%, marginally higher than 87% in the prior period. Disbursements increased by a noteworthy 48% year over year to ₹7,958 crore from ₹5,376 crore the previous year.
