Adani Ports Strengthens Logistics Expansion With ₹1,500 Crore Fertilizer Deal

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone is expanding its presence beyond core port operations with a ₹1,500 crore acquisition of Jaypee Fertilizers & Industries under the NCLT-approved resolution plan of Jaiprakash Associates. Through this deal, the company will gain indirect control of Kanpur Fertilizers, further strengthening its agri-logistics and multi-modal logistics network strategy. The move aligns with Adani Ports’ broader expansion plans, where the company is aggressively scaling its logistics, marine, and cargo-handling ecosystem across India and global markets. The company has already outlined large-scale infrastructure investments, including ₹30,000 crore planned for port and logistics expansion over the next two years, while targeting cargo-handling capacity growth towards 1 billion tonnes annually by 2030. This acquisition highlights Adani Ports’ focus on building an integrated logistics platform that connects ports, transportation, storage, and industrial supply chains, which could support long-term cargo growth and operational diversification for the company. $ADANIPORTS Disclaimer: This post is for informational purposes only and not a recommendation to buy or sell any securities.
