Airtel Strengthens India’s Cyber Defence with AI Push
In a strategic move to boost digital security,
BHARTIARTL
has partnered with Zscaler to launch the AI & Cyber Threat Research Center India on February 20, 2026, in New Delhi, marking a significant step toward building a stronger cyber-resilient ecosystem. The initiative aims to protect critical sectors such as telecommunications, banking, and energy from increasingly sophisticated AI-driven cyber threats while accelerating trusted AI adoption across India’s fast-growing digital landscape.
The centre will leverage advanced threat intelligence capabilities including analysis of over 500 billion daily transactions via Zero Trust architecture to detect, prevent, and respond to emerging cyber risks more effectively. Strategically, the collaboration reflects Airtel’s shift beyond traditional enterprise cybersecurity toward a broader national security focus, while also creating talent pipelines and encouraging wider public-private participation.
