Amber Enterprises bets ₹404 Cr to enter Industry 4.0 space with Unitronics acquisition

AMBER
has signed definitive agreements to acquire a 40.24% controlling stake in Israel-based Unitronics for ₹404 crore through its electronics arm, ILJIN Electronics. Post-acquisition, Amber and Unitronics’ promoter Haim Shami will together hold a 45.13% stake. Unitronics, listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange with a market cap of $110 million, reported revenue of $57 million in CY24 with an EBITDA margin of over 30%. This strategic move gives Amber a foothold in the high-growth industrial automation segment, leveraging Unitronics’ strong product portfolio PLCs, HMIs, IIoT, and cloud-based SaaS solutions. It also positions Amber to capitalise on rising global demand for Industry 4.0 technologies while expanding into key markets such as the US and Europe. The deal is expected to close within 60 business days and aligns with Amber’s focus on backward integration and localisation to strengthen its electronics vertical.
