Bajaj Auto Strengthens Global Presence with ₹1,364 Crore Investment in Netherlands Arm

Bajaj Auto has approved an investment of up to €150 million (₹1,364 crore) in its Netherlands-based subsidiary, Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV (BAIH BV), to drive global expansion. The capital will be infused in multiple tranches, based on requirements, and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2026. BAIH BV specializes in investment activities, and this funding will help it explore new opportunities while reinforcing Bajaj Auto’s international footprint. Notably, Bajaj Auto currently holds a 49.9% stake in Pierer Bajaj AG (PBAG), which owns a 75% stake in Pierer Mobility AG (PMAG), the parent company of KTM AG. Bajaj Auto has played a key role in KTM’s growth, particularly in the under-400cc segment. The move aligns with Bajaj’s long-term vision and could potentially increase its stake in financially strained KTM AG, which is undergoing a judicial restructuring in Austria. With all necessary approvals, including from the RBI, in place, Bajaj Auto is set to capitalize on emerging global opportunities.
