Bank of Maharashtra Delivers Strong Q4; Sets Confident Tone for FY27
Bank of Maharashtra (
MAHABANK
) reported a solid Q4FY26 performance, underpinned by steady growth across key operating metrics. Net profit came in at ₹2,014 crore, reflecting a 35% YoY increase from ₹1,493 crore, while Net Interest Income (NII) rose 20% YoY, highlighting strength in core lending operations.
For FY26, the bank posted a net profit of ₹7,019 crore, up 27% YoY, supported by consistent loan book expansion and improved operating leverage. Advances continued to grow at a healthy pace, complemented by stable deposit accretion, keeping the bank well-aligned with industry growth expectations of 12–14% in credit and 10–12% in deposits heading into FY27.
Asset quality remained a key positive, with lower slippages and controlled credit costs reinforcing balance sheet resilience. Return ratios stayed healthy, driven by stable margins and efficiency gains.
Management has guided for continued momentum in FY27, with a focus on sustaining growth, maintaining asset quality, and delivering stable profitability, positioning the bank as a steady performer within the PSU banking space.
