BEML Partners with Deendayal Port, DMRC & Umeandus Tech to Pioneer Automated Cargo Evacuation System

has entered into a strategic quadripartite MoU with Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), and Umeandus Technologies India Pvt Ltd to develop a Real-Time Automatic Cargo Evacuation System (e-FTS – Enhanced Freight Transport System). Under this collaboration, DPA will function as the client, DMRC as the lead member, while BEML and Umeandus will serve as execution partners for the pilot project. This initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency and automation in port logistics, potentially improving turnaround times and cargo handling capacity. On the financial front, BEML posted a net loss of ₹64 crore in Q1FY26, compared to a ₹70.5 crore loss in the same quarter last year, slightly exceeding the estimated loss of ₹58 crore. Revenue stood at ₹634 crore, flat year-on-year and below expectations of ₹689 crore, while the topline declined over 60% sequentially, indicating a soft quarter for the PSU.
