As part of this multi-year deal, Airtel will deploy Nokia’s Packet Core appliance-based and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) solutions, improving connectivity for its growing 4G and 5G user base across India.
Nokia’s advanced technology will integrate 4G and 5G into a unified server system, increasing efficiency and expanding capacity for home broadband and enterprise-critical applications. The partnership also includes the implementation of a zero-touch service automation framework, which will accelerate service deployment while reducing network operational costs.
Additionally, Airtel will leverage Nokia’s converged Packet Core solution to prepare for 5G standalone (SA) readiness, optimizing its network architecture to handle the surging data demand while keeping costs under control. This strategic move positions Airtel for stronger 5G growth, ensuring seamless and scalable connectivity for its customers.
