Bharti Airtel Secures Multi-Year Contract to Strengthen Indian Railways’ Cybersecurity Infrastructure

, through its enterprise arm Airtel Business, has won a multi-year contract from Indian Railways to design, build, and operate a comprehensive 24x7 cybersecurity protection ecosystem. The greenfield, multi-layered system will act as a strong defence shield for the Railways’ IT infrastructure, ensuring secure, seamless, and uninterrupted digital operations across ticketing, payments, and train tracking systems. The initiative aims to enhance data protection for over one billion Indians who rely on railway digital services. The upcoming Indian Railway Security Operations Centre (IRSOC) will enable continuous monitoring, threat detection, and response, along with better coordination with national cybersecurity agencies. This project reinforces Airtel’s position as a leading player in enterprise digital and cybersecurity solutions while supporting one of India’s most critical public digital networks.
