has received approval from Health Canada for its Micafungin for Injection USP in 50 mg and 100 mg strengths, marking another important step in strengthening its global generics and specialty pharma portfolio.
The antifungal drug is used for the treatment of serious fungal infections such as candidemia, acute disseminated candidiasis, Candida peritonitis, abscesses, and esophageal candidiasis in both adults and children aged 4 months and above. It is also approved for preventing Candida infections in patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
