CESC Green Power to Invest ₹3,800 Crore in 3 GW Solar Plant in Uttar Pradesh

’s clean energy arm, CESC Green Power Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to invest around ₹3,800 crore to develop a 3 GW solar cell and module manufacturing facility along with a 60 MW solar power plant, research & development infrastructure, and related ancillary units in the state. This strategic investment represents a major expansion of CESC’s renewable energy footprint and supports domestic solar manufacturing capability while tapping into Uttar Pradesh’s favourable policy environment to accelerate the clean energy transition.
