CESC Locks in 600 MW Renewable Capacity at Competitive Tariffs

CESC
has strategically strengthened its renewable energy portfolio by securing 600 MW of wind-solar hybrid power under 25-year power purchase agreements (PPAs), ensuring long-term supply visibility and cost stability. The capacity has been allocated across four developers, with Purvah Green Power awarded 300 MW, while Vismaya Renewables, Hexa Climate Solutions, and Sprng Energy secured 100 MW each. The discovered tariffs stand competitively in the range of ₹3.74–₹3.75 per kWh, highlighting efficient price discovery in the hybrid renewable segment. This move not only enhances generation reliability through a balanced wind-solar mix but also reduces dependence on conventional power sources.
