Container Corporation partners with Adani Cement to drive rail-based cement logistics

has signed two strategic MoUs with Adani Cement to enable large-scale, rail-based transportation of bulk cement through specialised tank containers. As part of the collaboration, CONCOR will deploy dedicated container rakes along key rail corridors, leveraging the Indian Railways network to enhance logistics efficiency and sustainability. The initiative aims to cut carbon emissions by reducing road dependence, lower transport costs, ease congestion, and strengthen supply chain resilience. This partnership marks a significant step towards decarbonising industrial logistics and aligns with India’s net-zero goals, setting a new benchmark for scalable, green freight solutions in the cement sector.
