Daily Market Update - 10/07/2025
On July 9, Indian equity markets saw mild profit booking after recent gains. Nifty 50 closed at ₹25,476.10, down 0.18%, while the Sensex ended lower by 0.21% at ₹83,536.08. Bank Nifty declined marginally by 0.07% to ₹57,213.55. Volatility remained subdued with the India VIX easing 2.13% to 11.94. In contrast, global markets showed strength today, with the Dow Jones up 0.49% at $44,458.30, Nasdaq rising 0.95% to $20,611.34, and the S&P 500 gaining 0.61% to $6,263.26.
On the currency front, USD/INR stood at ₹85.70 (+0.04%), and EUR/INR at ₹100.64 (+0.22%). Brent Crude rose slightly to $70.19, while Copper gained 1.41% to $5.62, reflecting steady global commodity sentiment. GIFT Nifty is trading at ₹25,572.50 today, up 0.17%, indicating a mildly positive start.
