On July 15, domestic markets closed mildly higher as Nifty 50 settled at ₹25,196 (+0.45%), Sensex at ₹82,571 (+0.39%), and Bank Nifty at ₹57,007 (+0.43%), reflecting a short-term recovery after last week's sharp fall. Technically, Nifty reclaimed key moving averages on short-term charts, with RSI on the 5-min nearing 64 and on the 15-min at 61.83, suggesting momentum is building but nearing overbought. Immediate resistance lies at ₹25,261–25,318, while supports are placed at ₹25,155 and ₹25,075.
Today, July 16, Gift Nifty is slightly weak at ₹25,177 (-0.35%), hinting at a cautious start. Commodities are trading firm with Brent at $69 (+0.42%), WTI at $66.94 (+0.63%), and Silver MCX at ₹1,11,525 (+0.03%). INR is steady, with USD/INR at ₹86.94 (-0.02%), EUR/INR at ₹99.82 (+0.06%). Meanwhile, US indices closed mixed on July 15 with Dow down 0.98% at $44,023, S&P 500 down 0.40% at $6,244, while Nasdaq gained 0.18% at $20,678. With FIIs net buyers at ₹120.47 crore and DIIs at ₹1,555.03 crore, near-term bias remains constructive, but traders should watch for follow-through above ₹25,220 to confirm strength toward ₹25,370–25,420.
