Escorts Kubota Expands Premium Farm Mechanisation with New NeoStar Tractor Range
Escorts Kubota Ltd ($ESCORTS) has expanded its presence in the specialised agriculture equipment market with the launch of the Kubota NeoStar tractor range in the 21–30 HP segment, with a strong focus on the fast-growing 21–27 HP category. The new compact tractor series is designed to improve productivity, operator comfort and fuel efficiency, targeting horticulture, vineyard and sugarcane farming applications across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. The company highlighted that the 21–27 HP application-led tractor segment has grown nearly 35% over the last three years, driven by increasing mechanisation in horticulture farming. The NeoStar range is introduced under Kubota’s premium tractor brand and builds on the company’s installed base of over 80,000 compact and narrow tractor customers in India. The series includes two variants, a narrow model with a width of around 2.98 feet for sugarcane and inter-row farming operations, and a standard variant designed for vineyards, orchards and multi-crop usage in confined spaces. Key features include power steering across models, Eco PTO for better fuel efficiency, compact design and improved ergonomics for spraying, rotavator, haulage and interculture applications. The tractors are aimed at farmers cultivating grapes, sugarcane, pomegranate, banana and mango, along with vegetable growers, orchard operators and agri-service entrepreneurs managing landholdings of around 1–5 hectares. The launch reflects Escorts Kubota’s continued focus on premium farm mechanisation and specialised agriculture solutions in India’s evolving horticulture sector.
