Glenmark to Launch ADHD Drug in the U.S. Market with $421.7 Million Opportunity

U.S. arm is set to launch a new medicine in May 2025 to treat ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), a condition that affects focus, self-control, and attention, mostly in children and young adults. The drug, a generic version of Adderall, will be available in 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg, and 30 mg doses. It is made up of a mix of amphetamine salts and is used to treat both ADHD and narcolepsy (a sleep disorder). According to IQVIA, the total U.S. market for this drug saw sales of $421.7 million in the 12 months ending February 2025. Glenmark’s North America head, Marc Kikuchi, said the launch comes at a crucial time, as the U.S. has been facing a shortage of this highly prescribed medication.
