Granules India's Bonthapally Facility Completes USFDA Inspection With One Observation

India Ltd has completed a USFDA inspection at its API Unit-I facility in Bonthapally, Telangana, conducted between June 16 and June 20, 2025, concluding with one Form 483 observation. The site is a key manufacturing hub for Paracetamol, Metformin, and Guaifenesin APIs, and is considered one of the world’s largest single-location Paracetamol API plants by volume. On the consolidated financial front, the company reported Q4 FY25 revenue of ₹1,197.5 crore, marking a 1.8% YoY growth from ₹1,175 crore. However, EBITDA declined 1.4% YoY to ₹252 crore, with EBITDA margins compressing by 70 bps to 21.1% from 21.8% in the previous year. Despite operational softness, net profit increased 18% YoY to ₹152 crore, indicating bottom-line efficiency. While the single observation from USFDA requires a timely response, the regulatory outcome is relatively minor and supports continued global compliance. Overall, the inspection outcome, combined with stable top-line growth and profit expansion, reflects regulatory discipline and operational continuity, though margin trends warrant monitoring.
