Gravita India Expands into Lithium-Ion Battery Recycling with New 6,000 MTPA Plant

GRAVITA
has taken a strategic step into the lithium-ion battery recycling space by commissioning a new facility in Mundra, Gujarat with a processing capacity of 6,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA), backed by an investment of approximately ₹14 crore funded through internal accruals, aimed at safe and efficient recycling of end-of-life lithium-ion batteries using advanced technology. This move broadens Gravita’s recycling portfolio already supported by its existing global footprint and aligns with its drive toward a circular economy, resource conservation, and growing demand from the electric vehicle and renewable energy sectors, positioning the company for participation in a high-growth segment of the sustainability value chain.
