HCLTech Invests ₹185 Crore in Semiconductor Lab
HCLTech has expanded its semiconductor engineering capabilities with the launch of an Advanced Semiconductor Lab in Bengaluru on September 8, backed by an investment of ₹185 crore. The 40,000 sq ft facility includes 25,000 sq ft of Class 10K and Class 1K cleanrooms and is designed to provide end-to-end post-silicon engineering, advanced testing, qualification and failure analysis.
The facility brings electrical validation, automated testing, qualification and failure analysis together under HCLTech’s Spec2Parts model, supporting R&D, pre-production and production qualification for both domestic and international customers.
It is equipped with tools from Teradyne, Advantest, Keysight, Tektronix and Thermo Fisher Scientific, while its capabilities include automated test equipment, testers, probes, qualification chambers, optical and electron microscopy and focused ion beam systems. HCLTech also plans to achieve certifications including ISO 17025, ISO 9001, AS 9100 for Mil-Aero and ISO 13485 for Medical applications.
With two decades of semiconductor expertise, the new facility strengthens the company’s integrated testing capabilities from India. HCLTech has more than 223,000 employees across 60 countries and reported consolidated revenue of $14.8 billion for the 12 months ended June 2026.
