HFCL
has secured a five-year supply agreement valued at up to $1.1 billion (approximately ₹10,159 crore) for high-quality, high-fiber-count optical fiber cables (OFC). The contract, executed through its overseas wholly-owned subsidiary, mandates minimum multi-million fiber kilometer (fkm) deliveries annually from 2026 to 2028, with automatic extension to 2029-2030.
Purchase orders will issue periodically based on project and specification needs, and the subsidiary may supply to the customer's assignees and affiliates. This development follows HFCL's recent participation in a DoT-funded consortium with IIT-Delhi for hollow-core fiber research.
