HG Infra Strengthens Power Infrastructure Presence with 35-Year Uttar Pradesh Transmission Project

HG Infra Engineering Ltd ($HGINFRA) has been declared a qualified bidder for a power transmission project in Uttar Pradesh by REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL), marking another step in its infrastructure expansion journey. The project involves the development of 220/132/33 kV air-insulated substations at Ranipur in Mau district and Chunar in Mirzapur district, along with associated transmission lines. The project will be executed under the Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) model and carries a concession period of 35 years, providing a long-term revenue opportunity for the company. According to the bid details, the project is expected to generate annual transmission charges of approximately ₹45.01 crore, which will serve as the primary revenue stream throughout the concession period. The project is scheduled to be completed within 18 months from the date of award. This development highlights HG Infra’s growing presence in the power transmission sector and its ability to secure long-duration infrastructure assets that offer stable and predictable revenue visibility over the long term.
