POWERINDIA
.has received a tax demand of ₹26.07 crore from the Income-tax Department for Assessment Year 2022-23, comprising ₹16.40 crore in alleged additional tax and ₹9.67 crore in interest, linked to disputed disallowances on interest from delayed receivables and group management fees; the company says it views the demand and interest as arbitrary and plans to file an appeal with the Income-tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) within the permissible timeline. Alongside this regulatory challenge, Hitachi Energy India reported robust financial performance for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, with net profit surging over five times to ₹264 crore from ₹52 crore in the prior year period and revenue rising 18 % YoY to ₹1,832.5 crore, while EBITDA more than doubled to ₹299.3 crore and margins expanded sharply, underscoring strong operational momentum even as the stock saw pressure following the tax notice.
