HUDCO signs ₹1.5 lakh crore MoU with MMRDA to strengthen Mumbai’s infrastructure growth
Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) on April 8 to support the infrastructure development across Mumbai. As per the agreement, HUDCO will explore and provide funding of up to ₹1.5 lakh crore over the next five years for various infrastructure projects under the MMRDA's umbrella. Alongside financing, HUDCO will also offer consultancy services and assist with capacity building to support MMRDA’s evolving requirements. This move aligns with HUDCO's broader ambition to expand its loan book. The company is aiming to grow its loan portfolio to ₹1.2 lakh crore by FY25 and further scale it to ₹1.5 lakh crore by FY26. In fact, management has already hinted at a potential upward revision of FY26 targets, citing strong demand in the housing and urban infrastructure segments. Additionally, HUDCO declared a second interim dividend of ₹1.05 per share last month for the full financial year. Note: This is for informational purpose only.
