IRCTC Reduces Rail Neer Prices After GST Cut

has revised the prices of its packaged water brand, Rail Neer, following the government’s decision to lower GST on drinking water from 18% to 5%. Effective September 22, 2025, a 500 ml bottle will now cost ₹9 instead of ₹10, while a 1-litre bottle will be available at ₹14 compared to the earlier ₹15. This move reflects the company’s decision to pass on GST 2.0 benefits directly to passengers. Under the new tax structure, GST has been streamlined into two main slabs 5% and 18% with a higher 40% rate reserved for luxury and sin goods.
