JSW Infrastructure Strengthens Odisha Port Presence While Delivering Steady Operational Growth

JSW Infrastructure has taken another strategic step to strengthen its port infrastructure business by signing a novation agreement through its wholly owned subsidiary, JSW Jatadhar Marine Services Pvt. Ltd., to develop a captive jetty at Jatadhar Muhan in Jagatsinghpur, Odisha. The project will be executed under the Build, Own, Operate, Share and Transfer (BOOST) model after the Government of Odisha approved the transfer of the concession agreement on June 18, 2026. The proposal was originally submitted by JSW Utkal Steel on June 26, 2025, and the final agreement was executed on July 7, 2026, marking a key milestone in expanding the group's logistics capabilities. On the financial front, the company reported a 17.9% YoY decline in Q4 net profit to ₹418.3 crore from ₹509.4 crore, primarily impacted by exceptional items, including an estimated ₹68 crore loss due to a fire at the Fujairah Liquid Terminal, ₹5 crore (post-tax) towards employee costs following the implementation of the new Labour Code, and an unrealised forex loss of ₹43 crore (post-tax). Despite this, operational performance remained strong, with revenue increasing 18.6% YoY to ₹1,522.3 crore from ₹1,283.2 crore, EBITDA rising 19.9% to ₹768.8 crore from ₹641 crore, and the EBITDA margin improving to 50.5% from 50.0%. Cargo handling volumes also increased by 1% YoY to 31.6 million tonnes, supported by higher throughput at South West Port, Dharamtar Port and Jaigarh Port, along with contributions from the Tuticorin Terminal and JNPA Liquid Terminal.
