JSW Steel Announces Major Restructuring to Streamline Global and Domestic Operations

JSWSTEEL
has unveiled a strategic reorganisation plan aimed at simplifying its corporate structure and improving operational efficiency across geographies. The company will consolidate its US operations, including the Baytown plate and pipe mill in Texas, the Ohio steel plant, and coking coal assets in West Virginia — under a single holding company, merging Periama Holdings LLC and Acero Junction Holdings Inc. This internal restructuring, which involves no change in ownership or sale of overseas assets, is expected to streamline compliance, strengthen management oversight, and unlock financial synergies. In India, JSW Steel will also merge select subsidiaries with the parent entity to optimise capital utilisation and enhance decision-making. The move aligns with JSW’s long-term strategy of building an agile, unified, and globally efficient business structure while maintaining its existing economic interests across all operations.
