KAYNES
shares were in focus after its wholly owned subsidiary, Kaynes Semicon, announced two Japan partnerships—AOI Electronics for back-end semiconductor know-how (advanced packaging, panel-level packaging, wafer-level RDL) and Mitsui & Co. for assured access to key inputs like lead frames, molding compounds, die-attach materials, specialty gases, and semiconductor-grade chemicals.
The company positioned the twin alliances as building both technology depth and supply-chain resilience to support India’s push toward a globally competitive semiconductor ecosystem and to prepare for upcoming manufacturing operations.
Mitsui operates across more than 60 countries, a scale Kaynes expects will help de-risk material sourcing, while AOI’s expertise is intended to bolster end-to-end back-end capabilities to serve global customers from India. The announcement came via an exchange filing on December 16, with the stock “in focus” on December 17 following the disclosure.
