KOTAKBANK Consolidated Quarter Results

KOTAKBANK
's financials present a mixed but informative picture when we compare its recent quarterly and annual consolidated performance. For Q1 FY25 (June 2025), net profit stood at ₹4,472 crore with revenue of ₹17,248 crore, slightly down from ₹4,933 crore profit in Q4 FY24 (March 2025) on ₹16,772 crore revenue. Though quarterly revenue has grown consistently—from ₹12,869 crore in Q1 FY24 to ₹17,248 crore now—the financing margin remains under pressure, coming in at -20% in June 2025, recovering modestly from -24% in March 2025, but still indicating strain compared to -18% in June 2023. Despite this, EPS has slipped to ₹22.49 from ₹24.81 sequentially but remains higher than the ₹20.88 in Q1 FY24. Looking at annual performance, the bank’s FY25 (TTM) revenue touched ₹67,080 crore, a solid jump from ₹56,237 crore in FY24 and ₹42,151 crore in FY23. However, this top-line growth hasn’t translated to equal strength in financing profitability, with FY25 showing a financing loss of ₹-12,392 crore versus ₹-13,382 crore in FY24 and ₹-5,746 crore in FY23. Net profit for FY25 is at ₹19,150 crore, trailing FY24's ₹18,213 crore and FY23’s ₹14,925 crore, while EPS rose to ₹96.31 from ₹91.62 last year, continuing its long-term uptrend. Asset quality remains a key strength: Gross NPA has improved to 1.45% in March 2025 from 1.75% in June 2023, and Net NPA is steady at 0.36%, signaling disciplined credit risk management. While operational performance remains stable with consistent profit growth and improving asset quality, the persistent negative financing margins highlight cost pressures or income mix shifts that investors and analysts should monitor closely in the upcoming quarters.
