L&T Enters Green Hydrogen Market with New Subsidiary
LT
has launched a new step-down subsidiary, L&T Green Energy Kandla Pvt Ltd (LTGEK), under its wholly-owned arm, L&T Energy Green Tech Ltd. The entity has an authorised and subscribed capital of ₹1 lakh (10,000 equity shares of ₹10 each) and will focus on green hydrogen and ammonia development.
While operations are yet to begin, this move aligns with L&T’s strategy to strengthen its foothold in clean energy amid rising global demand for green fuels. The transaction, though a related party deal, was executed at arm’s length and required no regulatory approvals.
Technically, L&T is currently showing weakness on the daily chart after facing resistance near the 100-day EMA (₹3495), with a sharp bearish candle pulling the stock down by 4.68% to ₹3260.15. The stock failed to sustain above the ₹3399.15–₹3436.36 zone (70 & 9 EMA), confirming near-term selling pressure.
RSI is at 41.58, approaching the oversold territory but still not indicating a reversal. Immediate support lies near ₹3240, followed by a stronger base at ₹3160. Unless it decisively reclaims ₹3436.36, further downside towards ₹3160 to ₹3110 cannot be ruled out. Caution is advised in the short term.
