L&T Secures Major ONGC Offshore Contracts, Strengthening Its Strong Order Momentum
Larsen & Toubro (L&T), through its Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore business, has secured major contracts from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for the Pipeline Replacement Project (PRP-X) and Well Head Platforms Project on India's west coast. Under L&T's order classification, a "major" contract is valued between ₹5,000 crore and ₹10,000 crore. The projects include engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of multiple subsea pipeline segments, associated modification works across ONGC's offshore fields, and the development of four well head platforms. These wins further reinforce L&T's expertise in executing large-scale offshore energy infrastructure projects. Over the past month, the company has secured eight major orders, comprising three "major", two "mega", one "large" and two "ultra-mega" contracts, taking its estimated total order inflow to approximately ₹67,500 crore to at least ₹95,000 crore since July 20. In its Q1 FY27 results, L&T reported a mixed performance, with EBITDA coming in below expectations, while order inflows exceeded market estimates. The management has maintained its FY27 guidance, reflecting confidence in future execution, and among the 33 analysts covering the stock, two expect the share price to potentially reach ₹5,000. Overall, the latest order wins strengthen L&T's project pipeline and provide healthy long-term revenue visibility across its infrastructure and energy businesses. $LT, and $ONGC Disclaimer: This post is for informational purposes only and not a recommendation to buy or sell any securities.
