L&T Secures Mega EPC Orders Worth Up to ₹15,000 Crore, Strengthening Its Leadership in Metals & Mining

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured multiple 'mega' Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) orders through its Metals and Minerals business, with the combined order value falling in the ₹10,000 crore to ₹15,000 crore category. The first order comes from India’s largest iron ore producing PSU, where L&T will execute Package #BE-01C for an 18 MTPA Iron Ore Handling Plant in Chhattisgarh, supporting the company's long-term goal of increasing iron ore production capacity to 100 MTPA by 2030. The project includes the design, engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of key infrastructure such as a downhill conveyor system, screening plant, stockpile, yard equipment, Rapid Wagon Loading Systems (RWLS) and other associated facilities. The second order has been awarded by a Navaratna PSU for the expansion of a steel plant in West Bengal, where production capacity will increase from 2.5 MTPA to 7.1 MTPA, with L&T executing multiple design, build and plant packages. In addition, the company has also secured an EPC order from a leading private-sector zinc producer, covering design, engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning and related site services. These project wins further strengthen L&T’s position in the metals and mining EPC sector, highlighting its expertise in executing large-scale and complex industrial infrastructure projects while reinforcing its long-standing relationships with both public and private sector clients.
