L&T Secures Orders Worth up to ₹12,500 Crore Across Geographies

LT
has secured three major orders in the past three days, taking the total new project wins to nearly ₹12,500 crore, leading to a 3.5% uptick in its stock. The Power Transmission & Distribution business has bagged “large” orders (₹2,500–₹5,000 crore) that include revamping power distribution with SCADA and smart technology upgrades, transformer station works, and underground cabling in India. Internationally, the company will deliver two 300 MVAr STATCOM systems in the UAE for dynamic reactive power compensation and establish a 400/132 kV grid station with a transmission line in Oman. These wins add to a “significant” order from the Nuclear Power Corporation of India and a “large” order from the National High-Speed Rail Corporation earlier this week. In parallel, the company has formally requested to exit the Hyderabad Metro Rail project due to sustained financial losses and lack of state support.
