L&T Signs MoU with ACWA Power for Green Ammonia Project in Saudi Arabia

LT
’s renewables arm has signed an MoU with ACWA Power for the renewables and grid scope of the Yanbu Green Ammonia Project in Saudi Arabia, with plans to move into an EPC contract once the final proposal is cleared. The project will feature solar PV, wind, and battery energy storage systems along with substations and transmission lines, forming a fully integrated facility powered solely by renewables to produce and export green ammonia for global decarbonisation. L&T highlighted Saudi Arabia’s advantage of producing renewable energy at competitive costs and its role in strengthening clean energy links across the India–Middle East–Europe corridor. Notably, this announcement comes on the back of L&T securing fresh orders worth up to ₹15,000 crore last week, including two ‘large’ and two ‘significant’ contracts.
