Lemon Tree Hotels Expands Bihar Footprint by 145 Rooms
Lemon Tree Hotels is expanding its presence in Bihar by signing licence agreements for two new properties in Bodhgaya, adding 145 rooms to its portfolio: Lemon Tree Hotel with 75 rooms and Keys Select by Lemon Tree Hotels with 70 rooms. Both properties will be managed by its wholly owned subsidiary, Carnation Hotels, and will cater to pilgrimage, leisure and business travellers.
Each hotel will feature a restaurant, banquet hall, meeting and conference facilities, swimming pool and fitness centre. The company currently operates 2 hotels in Bihar and has 3 properties in its development pipeline, including these two Bodhgaya projects. The properties are located around 10–11 km from Bodhgaya Airport and 14–15 km from Gaya Railway Station.
Separately, Lemon Tree Premier, Leisure Valley 2, Gurugram, an 80-room hotel, exited the company’s brand portfolio from September 3 following termination of its lease deed by Fleur Hotels, a material subsidiary, with the termination earlier disclosed on August 6. The latest update therefore reflects a 145-room addition in Bodhgaya against an 80-room portfolio exit in Gurugram, resulting in a net increase of 65 rooms from these two developments.
