Lemon Tree Hotels Strengthens Nepal Presence with New 85-Room Property in Janakpur

Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd ($LEMONTREE) continues to expand its international footprint with the signing of an 85-room Lemon Tree Hotel in Janakpur, Nepal, which will be managed by its wholly owned subsidiary, Carnation Hotels Private Limited. The property will offer a range of amenities including a restaurant, banquet hall, meeting and conference room, bar lounge, swimming pool, spa and fitness centre. With this addition, the company’s international portfolio has grown to 11 properties, comprising six operational hotels and five upcoming projects spread across Nepal, Bhutan and Dubai. In Nepal alone, Lemon Tree’s presence has increased to eight properties, including three operational hotels and five upcoming developments, while the group also operates two hotels in Bhutan and one in Dubai. Located in Janakpurdham, the birthplace of Goddess Sita and an important pilgrimage destination that attracts millions of visitors from Nepal and India during festivals such as Vivah Panchami and Ram Navami, the new hotel is strategically positioned near key religious landmarks including the Janaki Temple, Ram Mandir, Vivah Mandap, and the sacred Dhanush Sagar and Ganga Sagar ponds. The expansion reflects Lemon Tree Hotels’ strategy of strengthening its presence in culturally significant and high-growth markets while further consolidating its hospitality brand across the region.
