Lloyds Engineering Licenses EPS Gen 4 to Expand Acid‑Free Steel Cleaning Solutions Globally

Lloyds Engineering (

LLOYDSENGG
) Works has signed a purchase and licensing arrangement with US-based The Material Works Limited (TMW), as disclosed in a regulatory filing dated January 10. The deal gives Lloyds Engineering the right to design, manufacture, and sell Eco Pickled Surface (EPS) Generation 4 cells built on TMW’s patented technology. The agreement enables Lloyds Engineering to operate worldwide, with key exclusions: China, Macao, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and a 350-mile radius around Red Bud, Illinois, where TMW operates (TMW is incorporated in Delaware). TMW will also provide ongoing technical support, including design upgrades, technical and sales training, and marketing collateral. Commercially, Lloyds Engineering will make annual cash payments to TMW plus additional earn-out payments for a defined period, while retaining the right to manufacture and sell an unlimited number of EPS cells during the contract term. The company noted the transaction is not a related-party deal and said promoters/promoter-group entities have no interest in TMW; the financial value of the agreement was not disclosed. The EPS Gen 4 process is positioned as an acid-free alternative to conventional pickling, using recyclable materials and targeting zero effluent discharge.
