Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd has secured a domestic purchase order worth ₹117.99 crore, including GST and other duties, from Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Ltd (MSETCL) for the supply, installation and commissioning of an AI-based Comprehensive Infrasecure Project across 5 substations. GST is applicable at 18%, and the project has a 24-month completion timeline. The order is not a related-party transaction, with no interest held by the promoter, promoter group or group companies in MSETCL. Financially, Q1 FY27 remained strong, with net profit rising 21.5% year-on-year to ₹549.4 crore from ₹452.2 crore, while revenue increased 12.1% to ₹2,943 crore from ₹2,626 crore. EBITDA grew 48% to ₹446.6 crore, with the margin improving to 15.2% from 11.5%, indicating better operating performance during the quarter. Total income stood at ₹3,081 crore versus ₹2,949 crore a year earlier. As of June 30, 2026, the company’s order book stood at ₹18,218 crore, providing substantial visibility for future execution. Overall, the latest order adds a new AI-based infrastructure project to Mazagon Dock’s business mix, while the Q1 numbers show improvement across profitability, revenue and operating margins.
