MCX Expands Retail Commodity Trading with Silver 100 Futures

Multi Commodity Exchange of India (

MCX
) has announced the launch of Silver 100 futures contracts from June 1, 2026, further expanding participation opportunities in India’s commodity derivatives market. The new contract will allow trading in smaller 100-gram silver lots, making silver futures more accessible for retail traders, small investors, and hedgers compared to larger traditional contracts. Initially, contracts for June 2026 to November 2026 expiry months will be available for trading. This move reflects MCX’s continued focus on product innovation and deeper retail participation amid rising interest in precious metals trading in India. The introduction of smaller-sized contracts could also improve liquidity, enhance price discovery, and attract new participants into the bullion derivatives segment as silver demand and trading activity continue to grow in the domestic market.
